ROD AND REEL COMBO’S
Three rods per angler is allowed in Mexico. Pick your medium heavy to heavy bait casters spooled with 15 lb and 20 lb clear mono or fluorocarbon.
If you plan on flipping in the brush or trees come with 25 lb test mono or go to a braided line of your choice.
If spinning rods and reels are what you are familiar with bring those spooled with 15 lb or 20 lb test if possible. Also bring along enough line to re-spool at least one reel.
HOOKS AND WEIGHTS
G LOC Gamagatsu 4/0 5/0 6/0 or Z Bend Gamagatsu Super EWG 4/0, 5/0, 6/0. or Mustad Pro Select brand in same sizes.
Minimum 20 hooks per angler. Weights: slip weights for Texas Rigging Plastics 1/8 oz. to 1/2 oz. five of each size.
Weighted Hooks for Swim Baits 1/8th oz. 3/0 and 4/0 three each.
SPINNER BAITS
(2) White, (1) Pearl White, (1) White and Chartreuse, (2) Chartreuse. Size 3/4 oz. in all colors
SENKO HARD RUBBER WORMS
Pack 7” and 9” Senkos in white, black with silver flecks, silver with black flecks, shad color. Two bags YUM Dingers Watermelon and Pearl 7″ and 9″.
FLUKES
By Bass Assassin or Zoom in Pearl White or White with Chartreuse tail. One bag per day minimum.
SOFT RUBBER
Worms and Lizards in 7” and 9” . Colors Watermelon and Chartreuse, Pumpkin and Chartreuse, Tequila Sunrise, Motor Oil, Black, Red Shad, Blue Shad, Grape.
SWIM BAITS
Recommend YUM Money Minnows 5 inch chartreuse, Hologram Shad, and Pearl. Pack nine.
CRANK BAITS
Bill Dance Fat Free Shad is king of cranks! Use 2 inch, 3/8 oz. size and 2-1/2 inch 1/2 oz. size.
Colors Shad Pear is great! Fire Tiger, Citrus Shad, Blue Shad, Crawfish Hologram.
Also, Bill Norman Deep Little N , Rapala Fat Raps. Or what ever your favorite Medium Diver crank bait might be bring it along!
LIPLESS CRANK BAITS
Rattle Traps in Silver and Blue, Silver and Black, Chrome, any Shad color or variation in 1/2 oz. size. Also Excalibur XR50 Rattle Bait in same colors.
